“The struggle comes from within.  Doubts, fears and wounds that he did not know existed riseup to compete against him when he is making decisions.  His performance, even his ability to dream or hope is weakened.  The will provoke him to defeat himself if he does not defeat them first.”  From the thrid inning in my book, Welcome to the Big Leagues–Every Man’s Journey to Significance.

A few experiences in Darrel’s career were arrows of accusation in his soul.  The wound affected the way he viewed his own significance.  When I look over my life there I recognize I had been hit by some arrows too and now that I am older and look back it is easy for me to see the negative impact they had on some of my work, decisions and relationships.  These injuries are spiritual and need a spiritual solution.

Read, Ephesians 6:10-20 for a couple of days.  The source of the injury, the healing and the prevention of future wounds is in those verses.
