We flew the flag on Veterans Day. This week, using the book, Welcome to the Big Leagues and the connection with the great sport of baseball, I’ve given thanks for Veterans. During football games today I was pleased to see patriotic tributes to Veterans.
Any time that goes to salute a Veteran is far less than their service or the cost of thier sacrafice.
The minimal service of a Vet takes years away from family and exposure to hardship and time in harms way. Wounded warriors adjust to a new normal because their lives will never be the same again. Five guys on my Dad’s B-17, like thousands of others, paid an immeasurable eternal price.
I pray our tokens and cermonies cause us to always remember those who have served and are serving in our Military.
